With a great reputation built through many years of hard work, integrity and responsibility.
We provide a familiar home-based environment allowing for an easy transition from a child’s own home to kindergarten. Instead of an institutional “school” type of setting, children spend their day in the warmth and comfort of a home away from home.
The BCJ Family Child Care Program is licensed by The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
At BCJ Family Child Care, we serve healthy meals and snacks that meet all of the nutritional guidelines of the USDA food groups. At each meal, there are proteins, grains, fruits, vegetables, and dairy products incorporated. Healthy and good for parents approval, and delicious for the children to gobble up.
Our program is not about being a fancy place or big corporation. Our program is about genuine nurturing, love and compassion.
BCJ Family Child Care is a television-free program. We don’t pretend to use television for curriculum purposes. We believe you the parent is the one to decide whether your child watches television or not.
We track your child’s progress by assessing your child’s ability in all areas of development so they may reach their full potential.
We also focus on each individual child, their achievements, and successes. We provide a well-rounded curriculum for children based on their individual development that supports language, social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
BCJ is run by a family-oriented, mother of three boys and a professional in the field of Early Childhood Education with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development. This is more than a job, this is an opportunity to share our passion for life, while we inspire, engage, and awaken the wonder inside each and every child that we care for.
BCJ is run by an educator who cares for each child from infancy through school-age. Children in a center-based program are often cared for by several different caregivers every day, and experience an overall lack of consistency due to high turnover rates.
At BCJ, your child will benefit from learning in a diverse age group. Siblings can be together all day, while children without siblings can experience the joys of having older and younger brothers and sisters as friends.
Our program cares for small groups of children. This provides a calmer atmosphere and allows for each child to receive lots of time and individualized attention from the educator. In addition, the smaller group size decreases potential exposure to germs and illness.
We believe that keeping children busy and actively engaged decreases the frequency of behavioral problems in the classroom. Transition cues help the children move smoothly from one activity to another. We use positive guidance and redirection.
Although quality care is worth driving across town for, parents have found a good family child care near their homes and BCJ is conveniently located in a great neighborhood.
BCJ Family Child Care can be a great source of support for the families of the children in our care. Many families have become like extended family to us over the years.
